Семинар “A new paradigm of intercultural business communication”

25.04.2022 состоялся семинар на тему “A new paradigm of intercultural business communication” на английском языке. Спикером выступил Барри Томалин (Великобритания), профессор Университетского колледжа Лондона, соредактор журнала Training Language and Culture, автор учебников по деловому английскому языку.

Угрозы международной пандемии и изменения климата предполагают, что требуется новый взгляд на мир и процессы обучения. В условиях глобализации международного бизнеса и бурного роста международных контактов через Интернет и социальные сети как специалисты бизнеса, представляющие разные культуры, могут лучше понять друг друга и как мы, преподаватели, можем им помочь? Ответом может стать новая конструктивная парадигма, ориентированная на сотрудничество и гармонизацию различных ожиданий, стилей общения и моделей оперативного управления и лидерства.

Seminar “A new paradigm of intercultural business communication”

On April 25, 2022, a seminar was held on the topic “A new paradigm of intercultural business communication” in English. The speaker was Barry Tomalin (Great Britain), professor at University College London, co-editor of Training Language and Culture magazine, author of business English textbooks.

The threats of international pandemic and climate change suggest we need to look at our world and our training in a different way. With the globalization of international business and the explosion of international contact through the Internet and social media how can business professionals from different cultural backgrounds understand each other better and how can we as teachers help them? A new constructive paradigm focusing on cooperation and harmonising different expectations, communication styles and operational management and leadership patterns may be the answer.
